Who is Jason David?
May 1, 2007
Ask any professional football players who have participated in a Super Bowl about their favorite memories of the game and most will speak of game-winning touchdowns, momentum-crushing interceptions, or the thrill of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy after the game. But for New Orleans Saints’ cornerback Jason David, his greatest moment didn’t even happen on the field during Super Bowl XLI in Miami while playing for the Indianapolis Colts.
“I would say it was at halftime when we were up by two points going into the locker room. It just seemed appropriate that the game was close like that,” said the three-year NFL veteran. “Come halftime, everyone just looked around and said we had 30 minutes left to a championship. Those are the things I’ll remember. Not playing the game on the field, but looking in my teammates’ eyes and seeing the determination of everyone going after the same thing.”
